Thanksgiving is about a week away. On Thursday, November 27, many families will gather, reflect on their blessings, and enjoy a meal including turkey and dressing. Something else may highlight the feast on the table, a flower arrangement.

Bloomwoods Flowers and Events, located at 1640 Rollins Way in Columbus, has you covered. They are so popular that their Pumpkin Centerpiece Flower Workshop scheduled for tomorrow, November 20, is sold out. No worries, they can still help you with the perfect fall bouquet for your table.
“Even though some of our clients go out of town to spend time with their families, Thanksgiving is still an occasion where people want an arrangement for their table,” said Irene Brewer from Bloomwoods.
On average, families spend about $952 for Thanksgiving entertainment, which includes food, drinks, decorations, and travel.
Obviously, a florist does more than holidays, which is how Brewer met the owners of Bloomwoods Flowers and Events, Kim and David Nelson. The Nelsons started their shop in 2012.
“They did the flowers for my wedding, and our paths just kept crossing. I’ve been working here for seven years.” said Brewer.

There is still time to get in on upcoming Christmas decorating fun. The shop is partnering with Columbus Botanical Gardens for a floral centerpiece workshop on December 20 from 10:00 am until Noon.
