Heard County’s offense erupted for a 54-28 win over Model, powered by a relentless ground attack that secured their fourth region victory. Bowdon, the defending Class A DII state champ, looked every bit the powerhouse in a 68-14 rout of Greenville.
Central-Carrollton kept its playoff push alive with a commanding 56-21 win against Griffin, while Haralson County edged Bremen 34-26 in a hard-fought rivalry matchup. Manchester held off Mt. Zion-Carrollton 36-28, and Temple pulled off one of the night’s thrillers, outlasting Darlington 44-41 in a back-and-forth shootout.
In Class 5A, Villa Rica impressed with a 56-35 victory over Kennesaw Mountain, showcasing explosive offense down the stretch. Westover also picked up a key 40-20 win over Dougherty to close the night on a strong note.
