
Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a house fire early Friday morning that left a home heavily damaged and displaced its residents.
According to the Carnes Creek Fire Department, the fire broke out around 6 a.m. on June 21 in the 300 block of Fieldale Road. Crews from Carnes Creek, Eastanollee, and Shiloh fire departments rushed to the scene, along with Stephens County EMS and sheriff’s deputies.
When first responders arrived, they found the structure fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and had it under control by approximately 6:40 a.m.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene to assist in determining how the fire started.
The American Red Cross has been notified to assist the displaced occupants of the home.
Officials have not released additional details at this time.
