Warrant service leads to meth trafficking arrest in White County

CLEVELAND, Ga. – A warrant service operation by the White County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday has resulted in two arrests and the seizure of approximately 34 grams of methamphetamine.

According to Sheriff Rick Kelley, on November 20, investigators and patrol deputies received information regarding the location of Dustin Shane Turner, 37, of Sautee, who was wanted on a felony probation violation.

Deputies set up an operation to apprehend Turner, and he was successfully taken into custody upon his arrival at the location.

During the arrest, deputies also made contact with a second individual, Jonathan Luke Norton, 37, of Alto. Investigators said Norton was found to have approximately 34 grams of methamphetamine. He was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug-related objects.

Dustin Shane Turner was arrested on an outstanding warrant for violating his probation.
