Wanda Mary Meeks Chitwood, age 86, of Baldwin, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Born on November 4, 1939, in Lula, she was a daughter of the late Darnell and Lola Spivey Meeks. Wanda was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith. She enjoyed spending time outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Calloway Chitwood; son, Pete Chitwood; daughter, Janice Chitwood Roberts; and infant daughter, Donna Sue Chitwood. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Danny & Louvene Chitwood; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services are at 12 noon on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Level Grove Cemetery with Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11:30 am on Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
