Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday are calling your name if you are checking off your list of gifts for boys and girls.

Unwrapping and playing with new toys is one of the most exciting parts of a child’s holiday season, and parents’ planning makes it happen. Do you remember what was waiting under the tree for you when you were a kid? You might be surprised to find that some of those tried-and-true favorites are still near the top of the list.

Barbie dolls, Legos, and Hot Wheels continue to capture kids’ imaginations and make their way into letters to Santa, according to the National Retail Federation. While these reigning champs continue to hold their spots at the top of the list, kids are staying up to date on the coolest items and plugged in to the hottest trends, so it’s no surprise there are some newcomers on the lists.

The Labubu doll made its way into girls’ top 10 at No. 4, as kids look to accessorize their outfits and backpacks with the exclusive, all-the-rage collectible plush toy.

Another ongoing trend and one of summer’s biggest movies, KPop Demon Hunters appears on the girls’ top 10, showing momentum has not died down since the movie inspired many costumes for Halloween.

Young boys are no strangers to the trendiest items, either. Nintendo rose to No. 4 on their list after the video game company released a new, must-have Switch 2 console earlier this year. Meanwhile, Pokémon has made its way back into the boys’ top 10 list, as the classic franchise maintains its popularity with today’s children.
