There’s a lucky streak running through Northeast Georgia, and Toccoa is the latest hotspot.
A Toccoa resident recently won $293,691 playing the Georgia Lottery’s Jackpot Bankroll Diggi Game on the mobile app, according to lottery officials. The digital win adds to a growing list of major payouts in the region this summer.
Just days earlier, a Fantasy 5 ticket sold at Underdogs of Toccoa netted another player $183,790 in the July 22 drawing. That winning ticket matched all five numbers: 07-13-20-31-32.
The Toccoa wins follow several other recent lottery windfalls nearby. On July 18, a player in Dahlonega claimed a $3 million prize in the “100X The Money” scratcher game. That winning ticket was purchased at Fast Stop on Morrison Moore Parkway West.
Two Gainesville residents have also struck it rich. One player claimed a $2 million Mega Millions prize on June 20 with a ticket bought through the Georgia Lottery mobile app. Another Gainesville winner collected $1 million on July 3 playing the Millionaire Maker scratch-off.
