Turnout across Northeast Georgia was steady in the lead-up to and on Election Day 2025. According to statewide data, nearly one in five registered voters cast ballots in local and special elections.

Overall turnout for the region was 18.6%. Of the region’s 787,442 registered voters, roughly 146,488 participated in Tuesday’s election. Union County led Northeast Georgia with the highest turnout at 27.6%, followed closely by Clarke County at 27%.

Political observers say those numbers represent a relatively strong showing for an election year without high-profile statewide or federal contests. Off-year races tend to draw smaller crowds, often limited to voters closely engaged with local issues.
