DEMOREST — Some Demorest water customers should expect low water pressure on Monday afternoon, as crews work to replace a fire hydrant.
The city issued a notice Monday alerting customers to the work. Those affected include homes and businesses on Main Street, Arizona Street, New Hampshire Street, Vermont Street, Stone Street, Arlington Street, and Demorest Mt. Airy Highway.
The city water department says water customers in these areas should prepare for low water pressure beginning around 5:30 p.m. on September 29.
Officials said service should be restored to normal levels once the work is complete.
“We understand this may be inconvenient and appreciate residents’ patience as we make these important upgrades,” the city stated in the notice. “These updates are essential to ensure our systems run smoothly and efficiently.”
