Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School’s third annual Green & Gold Gala set a new fundraising record, bringing in $260,500 to benefit the school’s Cupola Fund, which supports students, faculty, and programs across every division.

Held on August 23 for the first time at The Dillard House, the event drew more than 160 parents, alumni, grandparents, trustees, faculty, staff, and friends of Rabun Gap. Guests enjoyed a family-style dinner, a silent auction, lively bingo sessions, and a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by Rabun Gap parent and realtor Meghann Brackett.

“This year’s Gala was nothing short of spectacular,” said Head of School Jeff Miles. “We’re so grateful to The Dillard House and Legacy Ventures for giving us such a beautiful space right here in our community. I am especially grateful for Gala Co-Chairs Andrea Sorgeloos and Sarah Barge, whose leadership and vision brought this event to life alongside a hardworking Gala Committee and our Advancement Office team.”

Matthew Johnson served as MC and bingo caller, while the night also featured a $10,000 raffle, won by Rabun Gap parent Galeana Neel of Franklin, NC.

Miles said the success of the Gala highlights the heart of the Rabun Gap community. “When our community comes together, amazing things happen for our students. Funds raised through the Gala are reinvested directly in classrooms, programs, and opportunities for our students. It’s about making sure every child at Rabun Gap has the tools and support they need to thrive.”
