West Central Georgia turned in a strong slate of playoff performances Friday night, led by dominant outings from Carrollton, Carver-Columbus, Heard County, and LaGrange.
Carrollton made one of the biggest statements of the evening with a 34–14 win over Grayson, using a fast start and relentless pace to control the game throughout. Carver-Columbus was equally impressive, rolling past Thomson 38–10 behind a balanced attack that kept the Bulldogs on their heels.
LaGrange continued its late-season surge with a 24–7 win over Stephenson, while Heard County edged out a wild 39–38 thriller against Fitzgerald to punch its ticket to the next round.
Not every team advanced, but the region showed depth and resilience across classifications.
Central-Carrollton ran into a powerhouse in Benedictine, falling 80–32 despite several strong offensive flashes. Bowdon, representing the western edge of the region, delivered a convincing 49–22 win over Jenkins County to keep its postseason alive.
