The Athens-Clarke County Government invites residents to attend a public information open house and asks for their input on a proposed expansion of the North Oconee River Greenway Trail.

A public information open house will be held on Thursday, September 4, at the Lyndon House Arts Center from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. ACCGOV invites people to ask questions and provide their opinions on the proposed design.

The project includes construction of a 10- to 12-foot-wide multi-use trail along Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway from the North Avenue intersection, Greenway connection to the 1st Street and East Broad Street intersection, and connection to Dudley Park.

Approximately $2.5 million has been designated to fund this trail as part of the 2023 Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. An online comment form is available now through October 5 on the ACC government website.
