The cause of death for popular social media influencer Marquaythegoat is still undetermined according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan. The TikTok star from Columbus called his brother to say he had trouble breathing and by the time his brother arrived he was found dead November 26, 2025.
Bryan said Marquaythegoat whose real name is Marquay Collins was in a car accident in Atlanta November 7th and had been complaining of major aches and pains before his untimely death. Bryan also said he’s had calls from California to New York about the 24-year-old Columbus native’s death.
Collins had amassed more than 7 million followers on TikTok as a food critic. He was a proud graduate of Shaw High School. His mother Sonja Collins posted on Facebook about her son “my baby was about family, love, happiness and friendship…”. Funeral arrangements are pending.
