U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff is wishing Georgians a happy Thanksgiving, sharing a holiday message of gratitude, reflection and support for military families across the state.
“I want to wish every Georgian a happy Thanksgiving as we enter the holiday season,” Ossoff said in a video released Wednesday. “I know I’m looking so forward to some time around the table with my family, and I’m sure you are too. I hope that you have the opportunity for moments of peace, relaxation, and reflection with family and friends.”
Ossoff offered special thanks to servicemembers, veterans and their families.
“I want to extend particular gratitude and well wishes to every military servicemember, to every military spouse, child and dependent, every veteran in Georgia,” he said. “Thank you for the sacrifices that you have made on all of our behalf. When we give thanksgiving, we give thanksgiving for you as well.”
He also urged Georgians to remember people who may be struggling during the holiday.
“While we all observe this festival of family and plenty, let us bear in mind and keep in our prayers those who are without — those who are without food, those who are alone,” Ossoff said.
