LULA, Ga. — Hall County investigators have filed more charges against an 18-year-old Lula man already jailed for allegedly possessing child sex abuse material.
Jaylen Malik Bell was first arrested on July 15 after a two-month investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit. He was charged at that time with six felony counts of sexual exploitation.
Investigators searched his home and seized several phones and a laptop. According to the sheriff’s office, forensic testing of those devices uncovered dozens of additional images of children being sexually abused. That evidence led to the filing of 20 additional felony counts this week.
Cyber tip led to arrest
The case began May 16 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a cyber tip to HCSO after Bell allegedly uploaded multiple sexually explicit images of children to his email account.
Bell remains in the Hall County Jail without bond. The investigation is ongoing.
