Most people of a certain age can’t remember how they celebrated their eighth birthday, but chances are Tenley Henson will never forget.
Tenley, the daughter of Ashley and Dustin Henson of Cornelia, turned eight years old on Wednesday, April 29. Due to the coronavirus and social distancing, she didn’t think she’d get to have a birthday party.
Her parents made sure that she did.
They organized a drive-by party with some of Tenley’s closest family and friends at Cornelia City Park on Saturday, May 1. Cornelia firefighters and police joined in the birthday parade.
Tenley Henson waves at the public safety officials, family, and friends who came to her drive-by birthday party on May 1, 2020, at Cornelia City Park.
