The Lady Indians got their first varsity season in the books last year. Every game seemed to set a first for the program, including the team’s first two victories. With that season in the rearview mirror, TFS under coach Jenny Long hopes to take the natural next step.
Last fall, Tallulah Falls posted a 2-18 overall mark, and had All-Region talent Katie Anderson pave the way offensively. Anderson graduated, though her hard work and dedication undoubtedly leaves a mark on the program. Overall, the team will lean on four returning starters, including junior Juliana Roberts, who hit .297 with six RBI last fall. Fellow junior Abby McCoy (.286, five RBI) will be another steady bat in the lineup.

“I think our overall team play will be better – defensively and offensively,” states coach Long, who emphasizes that the team’s mindset is focused on growth and being resilient.
While pitching will be the biggest obstacle to overcome with last year’s starter Callie Craver gone, Tallulah Falls will look to young 8th-graders Zoe Shepherd and Ruby Sue Anderson to help contribute in that area. The senior group consists of Kaylin Pickett and Bailey Crumley. Roberts and McCoy head a strong junior class which also inclues Joanna Miller, Gabby Heard, and Stephanie Celestin.
Sophomores Addy McClellon, Ellie Shaw, and Bella Kelman along with the aforementioned 8th-graders round out the roster. The Lady Indians open their 2025 campaign at Gainesville on August 1. The home opener is also against Gainesville on August 12.
