
Jo Ann Nations Moore, age 71 of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on January 24, 1945, she was a daughter of the late William Ernest, Sr. and Mary Edna Williams Nations. Mrs. Moore was a member of Stonepile Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Boston Lunch in Greenville, South Carolina where she lived for many years. Â She enjoyed crocheting and cooking in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Nations, Jr. and Carlos Nations; sister-in-law, Jean Nations; brother-in-law, J.W. Rice.
Survivors include daughter, Tarra Dean of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Tab and Teresa Dean of Alto and Todd and Brenda Dean of Clarkesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Oveline Rice of Clarkesville, Evelyn and Dewayne Forlines of Anniston, Alabama and Barbara and Ronald Mote of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Vivian Nations of Clarkesville; sister-in-law, Lois Nations of Clarkesville; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 pm Monday, March 14, 2016, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Charles Black officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
