Gorillas in Corvettes and toddlers dressed like bears were just a few of the fun sights people delighted in while strolling the streets of Habersham Tuesday.
Local Halloween events across the county attracted thousands of people of all ages. The streets of Cornelia, Demorest, and Clarkesville were teeming with trick-or-treaters.
Sarah May traveled with her family from Alto to trick-or-treat in Cornelia.
“We saw it was downtown. We feel like it’s a safe area and a safe place for our kids,” she told Now Habersham. The family came dressed as Goldilocks and the three bears.
With different events starting at different times, eager trick-or-treaters were able to collect candy across the county. The Mays chose Cornelia because it started earliest (3 p.m.). That allowed them to get their young ‘bears’ back home before nightfall.
Now Habersham’s Jerry Neace captured some of the HABoween excitement in the pictures below.
For those who took your own pictures, don’t forget to enter our HABoween 2023 Costume Contest for a chance to win a VISA gift card. The contest runs now through Nov. 7. Click here for details.
