HABoween 2025: And the winners are…

(NowHabersham.com)

It was another year of trends, creativity, and pure cuteness in Now Habersham’s annual #HABoween Costume Contest— and once again, our community did the voting.

Reactions poured in as families, friends, and neighbors showed off their Halloween best, from clever DIY creations to movie-inspired looks that melted hearts. We received over 500 entries. After tallying the votes from five rounds of entries, here are the 2025 fan favorites:

1st Place – Agnes from Despicable Me (“It’s so FUFFLY”)
Submitted by Ilse Pulido

First Place: Agnes from DESPICABLE ME
“It’s so FUFFLY.” (Submitted by Ilse Pulido)

Ilse Pulido’s photo of little “Agnes” captured hearts across Habersham and beyond with her spot-on recreation of the animated favorite. Complete with pigtails, overalls, and that famous fluffy unicorn, she charmed the community into awarding her the top spot.

2nd Place – Raggedy Anne
Submitted by Katie Ferguson Ward

Second Place: Raggedy Anne (Submitted by Katie Ferguson Ward)

Katie Ferguson Ward’s photo of this adorable Raggedy Anne brought a timeless touch of nostalgia to this year’s contest. The classic red yarn wig and vintage-style dress made her tiny tot look straight out of a storybook, earning her a strong second-place finish.

3rd Place – Scooby-Doo Crew
Submitted by Randi Rider

Third Place: Scooby Doo Crew (Submitted by Randi Rider)

Randi Rider’s photo rounded out the Top 3 with a fun and full-family tribute to the Scooby-Doo Crew. With their handmade Mystery Machine and perfectly cast characters — from Velma to Scooby — they proved teamwork (and imagination) make for the best group costume.

How the contest worked

Participants were invited to share their Halloween photos and videos on Now Habersham’s Facebook page using #haboween25 through noon on Friday, November 7. The three entries with the most “Likes” at that time each won gift cards: $100 for first place, $75 for second, and $50 for third.

There were lots of fun and fascinating entries. Here’s a look at some of the Honorable Mentions:

From pint-sized superheroes to creative parents and grandparents, #HABoween25 proved once again that Habersham County’s Halloween spirit is second to none. Click here to view more of this year’s entries.

Now Habersham thanks everyone who participated, shared, and voted — making this community tradition one of our most spirited celebrations of the year.
