
CLARKESVILLE — The Habersham County Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, with student and teacher recognitions, financial updates, and personnel approvals on the agenda.
The meeting will open with awards and honors, including the Peach State Federal Credit Union’s Extra Mile and Service Above Self awards, as well as special recognition for Emily Martinez, who was recently named to the 2025–2026 Student Advisory Council. The board also will recognize Level Grove Elementary School student Emma Jones and teacher Kathryn Ballard for outstanding achievements.
Following the public comment period, the board will hear the monthly financial report and Superintendent Patrick Franklin’s update on district operations.
Action items include approving personnel recommendations, the financial report, and a list of surplus property from the Transportation Department. Board members also are scheduled to approve per diems for their October meetings and several field trip requests under the consent agenda.
The meeting will be held at the Habersham County Board of Education office in Clarkesville.
