CLARKESVILLE — After 25 years of service maintaining Habersham County’s roads and infrastructure, Sharon Roach was honored Monday night for her dedication and professionalism as she prepares to retire from the county’s Public Works Department.
County Manager Tim Sims presented Roach with a formal recognition during the Board of Commissioners meeting, praising her decades of commitment and the lasting impact of her work on the county’s transportation network.
“On behalf of Habersham County Public Works, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to
Sharon Roach for 25 years of dedicated service to the road department,” Sims said. “Her unwavering commitment, skill and work ethic have left a lasting impact on our county’s infrastructure and the quality of life in our community.”
He said Roach’s contributions have strengthened not only the county’s roads but also “the spirit of teamwork and excellence within our department.”
“As Sharon embarks on a well-deserved retirement, we celebrate her many achievements and the legacy she leaves behind,” Sims said. “We wish her health, happiness and fulfillment in all the years ahead. Thank you, Sharon, for the difference you made in every mile.”
Roach’s recognition was part of the meeting’s employee spotlight segment, a recurring agenda item that highlights standout service among county staff.
