Other items on the consent agenda include agreements with GDOT for bridge replacements on Garrison Drive and Hub Tatum Road, awarding contracts for roof replacements at AVITA and the Health Department, and purchasing automated weather sirens. Commissioners will also consider a resolution supporting Clarkesville’s town square restoration project and the sale of right-of-way property for a new bridge at the Soquee River crossing.
Appointments to several boards are also scheduled, including the Joint Development Authority, Library Board, Board of Elections and Registration, and the Region 1 Advisory Council of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.
In old business, commissioners will revisit a rezoning request from Greg and Paula Bagley to rezone more than 26 acres on Blair Road from agricultural to light industrial. New business will include discussion of progress on the county’s Unified Development Code amendments.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, in the jury assembly room of the Habersham County Courthouse, 295 Llewellyn St., Clarkesville.
