A Gainesville woman faces charges following a deadly three-vehicle crash on Highway 129 in White County.
Troopers say 41-year-old Julia Robinson was distracted when her Kia Forte crossed the centerline on September 2 and struck a northbound Toyota Corolla head-on. A Lexus then collided with the back of the Corolla. Robinson’s passenger, 51-year-old Brian Wallace of Clermont, died at the scene.

The Georgia State Patrol charged Robinson with distracted driving, failure to maintain lane, and 2nd-degree vehicular homicide.
Robinson and the other two drivers were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. She was arrested on September 3 and has since bonded out of jail, according to the White County Sheriff’s Office.
