HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says a Gainesville man has been arrested for a second time in connection with thefts from the Habitat for Humanity of Hall County ReStore.

Deputies arrested 43-year-old Richard Trent Parker, a former ReStore employee, after investigators uncovered additional evidence in the case.

Parker was first arrested on February 12, 2025, on a felony charge of theft by conversion. According to investigators, he took nearly $10,000 from daily cash receipts between January 1 and February 11, 2025, and used the money for personal expenses. He was released on a $5,700 bond five days later.

As the investigation continued, property crimes investigators determined Parker had also diverted ReStore funds by using the business computer to transfer money into a personal Cash App account. Officials said the activity began on December 18, 2024, and continued until his February arrest.

On April 28, investigators obtained a warrant for Parker’s arrest on a charge of felony computer theft. Deputies served that warrant October 3 at the Colwell Probation Detention Center in Blairsville. Parker was transported to the Hall County Jail and released the next day after posting another $5,700 bond.
