GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier received a $15,000 Community Development Grant from First Citizens Bank to help maintain safe, functional spaces for youth across Hall, Habersham, and Forsyth counties.
The funding supports the organization’s mission to provide children with clean, welcoming environments where they can learn, play, and grow under the guidance of caring mentors. With 23 club sites serving thousands of students daily, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier carries a major responsibility in helping shape young lives.
“At First Citizens, we believe that investing in youth development is an investment in the future,” said Bank Service Manager and Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier Board Member Nicole Pleasant. “This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening communities, fostering opportunity, and empowering the next generation.”
The clubs offer a wide range of programs focused on academics, leadership, arts, and athletics—helping children develop confidence, character, and skills for lifelong success. For many families, the clubs provide consistency and community support, ensuring that kids have a safe place to go after school.
Officials say the grant will help sustain that mission by keeping facilities safe and well-equipped, allowing programs to continue serving local youth.
