
Eddie A. “Spanky” Baugh, age 82, of Lula, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 1, 2025.
He was born in Gainesville, Georgia, on June 12, 1943, to the late Ernest and Lilly Mae Croy Baugh. Spanky worked for Fieldale Farms Corporation, where he dedicated over 40 years of faithful service before retiring. In retirement, he became well known for his exceptional jerky-making skills. He was a devoted husband, dad, and Papa who loved his family deeply. Most of all, he loved the Lord with all his heart. Spanky was a faithful member of Bible Landmark Church in Cornelia, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Neil Baugh; brothers Lamar, Carl, and Arvil Baugh; and sisters Jimmie Ruth Wade and Eva Betty Collins.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Kathleen Ambrose Baugh; son and daughter-in-law, Stacey and Michelle Baugh; grandchildren Bethany and Jacob Trumblay, and Noah and Alaina Baugh; great-grandchildren Addison Trumblay, Chloe Trumblay, Rosalee Baugh, and Ava Baugh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Trotter, Rev. Carl King, and Rev. Mickey Umbehant officiating. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 04, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
