A pre-dawn crash damaged a utility pole and disrupted traffic Friday after a vehicle left the roadway on Camp Creek Road.
According to authorities, the wreck occurred at 5:51 a.m. on September 12. A 2024 Honda Element was traveling south when the driver lost control and veered off the road. The vehicle struck two guy wires, breaking a utility pole owned by Habersham EMC.
Debris from the Honda scattered into the northbound lane following the impact. The vehicle ultimately came to rest on the shoulder of Camp Creek Road.
The wreck shut down Camp Creek Road between Wilson and York Drive for nearly two hours.
The Georgia State Patrol has not released the driver’s name, and no word was immediately available on injuries.
Now Habersham will update this article when new information is released.
