The Agency of the Year award was presented to Creative Enterprises in Cleveland, where they believe every person deserves the chance to shine. Nyck Crumbley heads up the program in White County, which provides a place where adults with disabilities and others facing barriers to employment are given the tools to grow, achieve, and thrive. It was noted that Creative Enterprises staff are not only skilled but deeply compassionate, creating a caring environment where every individual’s strengths are celebrated.

Brandi Walker was awarded the Agency Employee of the Year. For 17 years, Walker has been a steady presence in our school community. Today, Brandi serves as the school secretary at White County Middle School, but her role extends far beyond the front office. She’s a mentor, a trusted adult, and a constant source of support.

The Marlon Caldwell Volunteer of the Year award was presented to Dr. James Murphey at Northeast Georgia Physicians’ Group.

Dr. Murphey was recognized for generously giving his time and expertise to improve the health and well-being of White County residents. In addition to his regular job, he serves as the volunteer Medical Director for Community Helping Hands Clinic in downtown Cleveland.

Three years ago, Dr. Murphey expanded his impact by volunteering one full day each week—and he brought along physicians from the Internal Medicine residency program at Northea
