BALDWIN — The Baldwin City Council will hold its next work session and regular meeting Monday, Nov. 3, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Baldwin Municipal Courtroom at 155 Willingham Avenue.
The evening will open with three public hearings on zoning matters: a setback variance for Intown Home Builders, a zoning text amendment, and a zoning change request from Bellamy. Final votes on all three ordinances are expected later in the regular council meeting.
Council members will also consider several items on the consent agenda, including the 2026 council meeting calendar, ratification of a Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) loan resolution, and adoption of the city’s 2025 Comprehensive Plan. Other agenda items include approval of the Chitwood subdivision preliminary plat, a memorandum of understanding with the Habersham County Board of Education for shared fuel purchasing, and a program to replace and purchase new automated external defibrillators for the fire department.
Public works surplus sales and administrative vehicle leasing modifications are also scheduled for review. An executive session may be held to discuss pending or potential litigation.
The city will announce several upcoming community events, including the Baldwin Christmas Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at The TAP Yard, and the Habersham County Christmas Parade at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.
Both meetings are open to the public.
