
BALDWIN — The Baldwin City Council will continue discussions on the city’s 2025 millage rate and take up several zoning matters during its work session and regular meeting tonight.
The work session begins at 6 p.m. in the Baldwin Municipal Courtroom, 155 Willingham Ave., and will include the third of five required public hearings on the city’s proposed 2025 millage rate. Council members will also hear updates and proposals on city contracts, including an amendment with Bureau Veritas of North America, a vehicle lease for the administrative department, and new agreements for school zone enforcement and police database services .
The regular meeting will follow immediately after the work session. Council is expected to hold first readings on three zoning-related ordinances: a setback variance request from Intown Home Builders, a zoning amendment adjusting minimum square footage requirements, and a zoning change request for the Bellamy property .
Other agenda items include upgrades to Roadside Park fencing and signage, replacement of Regency Lift Station pumps, and purchase of a new city Christmas tree.
City leaders also plan to announce details for the 8th Annual Baldwin Fall Festival, scheduled for Oct. 18 at The TAP Yard, and the Shop With a Hero fundraiser supporting local police and fire programs.
