FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities say an incident in Franklin County Saturday morning left one man injured and another on the run. The suspect has been identified as Clinton Patrick Miller. Franklin County Sheriff Scott Andrews says Miller remains at large and “is considered armed and dangerous.”

According to Andrews, Miller was involved in an altercation in Canon that left one man seriously injured. The victim was flown by helicopter to the hospital. After that incident, deputies attempted to stop Miller, but he refused to pull over and fled.

During the pursuit early Saturday, Miller—driving a vehicle reported stolen from out of state—crashed through a pasture fence and into a tree. He then jumped out and ran into the nearby woods near Highway 320 and McFarlin Bridge Road.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are now assisting in the search.

Sheriff Andrews released a photo of the suspect Saturday afternoon. Earlier, he described the suspect as “a white male wearing a black sweatshirt.”

Andrews says Miller has numerous outstanding warrants from other agencies. He is also facing new Franklin County charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Authorities caution that Miller should not be approached under any circumstances. Anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.

This investigation is still developing, and more details are expected to be released.
