Jon Huebner

Rev. Jon Huebner began serving as Pastor of Mt. Airy Baptist Church in August of 2019. When Jon was still in high school in Kansas City, MO, he felt the Lord calling him into ministry. After marrying Beth and working in various positions in the computer industry, he and Beth moved to Texas to attend seminary. From 1996 to 2012 they worked as volunteers and full-time staff at Mission Arlington in Arlington, TX where they developed churches in multi-housing communities. After moving back to Northeast Georgia in 2012, Jon began working as a North American Mission Board church planter in Gainesville, GA through a ministry called In His Name. In Gainesville he continued to develop churches in multi-housing communities. Pastoring Mt. Airy Baptist church has been a wonderful experience, and they look forward to many years of service in this community. Jon is a 1988 graduate of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO where he majored in Mathematics and Computer Science. Jon completed his Master of Divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2003. Since 1989 he has been married to Beth, a science teacher at Tallulah Falls School. Jon and Beth have three children, Jon, Shawn, and Yajaira, and they have two grandchildren, Chandler and Nova.
