ATHENS, Ga. — Firefighters quickly brought a multi-family apartment fire under control Friday afternoon in Athens.
Crews were dispatched to the Serene at Northside complex on Old Hull Road around 1:15 p.m. on October 10.
The Athens-Clarke County Fire Department said firefighters “made an aggressive interior attack” and used a ladder truck to contain the flames. It took nearly two hours to bring the fire under control.
Officials confirmed there were no injuries or fatalities. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
