A homicide investigation is underway by the Phenix City Police Department and the Russell County Coroner’s office. According to the Coroner, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 Joseph Tassoni was pronounced dead on the scene at 4:37 pm at 42 Cricket Drive in Phenix City.
The 42-year-old victim died from what appears to be possible gunshot wounds. His body will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science in Montgomery, AL for an autopsy. The death is currently under investigation.
