CLEVELAND, Ga. — A familiar team behind the mic for White County High School sports is now an award-winning one.

The WRWH Warriors sports broadcast team—Drew Harris, Garrett Rowland, and Mark Turner—earned statewide recognition from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters (GAB). The trio received the Gabby Award for Best Sports Play-By-Play, Small Market Radio.

The honor was announced Saturday during the GAB’s annual GABCON conference, held this year at Truist Park in Atlanta.

For Harris, Rowland, and Turner, the recognition highlights the energy and passion they bring to covering Warrior athletics. Listeners across White County know the crew’s familiar voices from Friday night football and beyond, where their calls have become part of the game-day tradition.

WRWH owner and general manager Dean Dyer says he is proud of the Warrior broadcasting team.

“This is quite an honor; these guys really like what they are doing, and it shows in their professional work,” Dyer told Now Habersham. “As an owner, it makes me proud to have them representing the station wherever they go across Northeast Georgia.”

Dyer said the combined talents of the three are “something few stations have.” They have been working together as a team for 10 years.
