#4 Rabun County 35, Banks County 0
Rabun County held only a 14-0 lead at the break, but it was the Ty Truelove show as the QB threw for three and rushed for two TDs. Reid Giles had a pair of TD catches in the first half. In the third, Truelove connected with Reed Burrell, then ran in a tough 5-yd TD before icing the game late with a 69-yd TD.
#7 Athens Academy 49, Commerce 28
The Tigers’ difficult season continues as Commerce drops to 0-5 on the season. #7 Athens Academy bounced out to a 21-7 lead, though Ty Sorrells had a 70-yd TD run early. He then caught a TD pass from Layden Bryson, as it was 28-15 at the break. Sorrells added a third TD on a 49-yard score in the third, and Bryson added a rushing TD late.
Pickens 34, Dawson County 23
The Tigers lost a 34-23 final to Pickens. Late in the half, Gunnar Weaver had a 3-yd TD to get Dawson within 14-9. He threw a TD pass in the third, and added a 14-yd TD run to make it a 27-23 game with just over four minutes left.
Franklin County vs West Hall (Score Unknown)
Lumpkin County 47, Chestatee 9
The Indians again punched out a 40-plus point game in a 47-9 win over Chestatee. Lumpkin County held a 37-0 advantage in the third. Nolan Matthews had an early 50-yd TD, and Mason Hester added a TD throw to Mac Powell for 51 yards.
Towns County 23, Butler 16
The Indians moved above .500 with a 23-16 win over Butler, making coach Jason Roquemore the winningest coach in Towns County history. Alex Baert had a pair of rushing TDs, and Dustin Barrett had a TD throw to Mo Walker to seal the win late.
#10 North Murray 46, Union County 24
The Panthers dropped a 46-24 final against #10 North Murray, who rarely had to punt. Kamden Kendrick threw a flurry of TD passes to Jax Dillinger, Mikey Davis, and Haze Burnett, and Smith had a 25-yd FG. It was 28-16 at the break in favor of North Murray, though Union was within striking distance for a good bit.
#4 North Hall 56, White County 14
The Warriors scored a season-high 14 points in a loss to #4-ranked North Hall, who is undefeated. White County got its scores late after going down 35-0. Alex Freeman had TD passes to Zach Godrey of 80 yards and Gaines Clark for 43 yards.
