CORNELIA, Ga. — Three people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on the Highway 441 Bypass in Cornelia. The wreck temporarily shut down traffic near Snappy’s Car Wash.
The Georgia State Patrol reports the wreck happened around 3:38 p.m. on September 17 when a 2005 Buick LeSabre attempted to cross the bypass from Finis Springs Drive. The Buick pulled into the path of a southbound 2018 Nissan Frontier and struck the driver’s side of the truck. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.
The Buick driver, 51-year-old Pamela Hall of Maysville, and her passenger, 33-year-old Breanna Hall of Gainesville, were injured and taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The driver of the Nissan, 34-year-old Maria Delgado, was also transported to the hospital.
The crash shut down both southbound lanes of the bypass until emergency crews cleared the scene. The State Patrol says charges are pending.
